Course Purpose and objectives

Purpose :

• This course is an introduction to the discipline and field of public administration. The emphasis is on the history, theories, concepts and span of public administration.

Course Objectives :

• 1. To gain a knowledge of the history of public administration
  2. To understand the theoretical basis of the discipline.
  3. To form a conceptual understanding of the nomenclature and terminology of the sub-fields of public adminstration.
  4. To gain a vision of how public administration has contributed to the policy implementation process.
