The Program and the Curriculum
Specializations
- The Masters of Public Management program's 30 hours includes 12 hours ( 4 courses ) in a
specialization. Areas of Specialization include:
- Planning and Economic Development.
- Public Financial Management.

The courses in the specialization are taken from both within the public management
course offerings and related disciplines, to provide a well rounded, interdisciplinary
education appropriate for each student's professional goals. The course options within the
specializations allow students to shape their own education and develop the competencies
most relevant to their career aspirations.
Admissions Requirements.
- An undergraduate average of 3.0 is desired for admission to the Master of City
Management program. A satisfactory score on the Graduate Record Examination ( GRE )
is also required. Two letters of recommendation, a completed application form, a personal
vita form, and essay are additional requirements. Applicants must submit transcripts of
all undergraduate work for their applications to be reviewed.
Financial Aid and Housing.
- The College of Business and the school of Graduate Studies have a limited number of
available graduate assistantships. There is on-campus housing for married and unmarried
students on a space -avaliable basis.
